CHALLENGE:
Having sites in both Dee why and Cremorne, our Client approached insight Projects with a vision to open a new Physio Clinic in the centre of Sydney. Having already chosen a site in the centre of the Barangaroo precinct, Insight were faced with the challenge of designing a space that achieves a 5 star green rating. The site was a concrete shell, with varying ceiling heights and a small floor plate to work with.
SOLUTION:
In July 2017, a new state of the art facility opened to cater for the surrounding business with the careful selection of furniture, finishes, equipment, finishes and use of sustainable building materials, the fit out achieved a 5 star green rating.
RESULTS:
The design encompassed a warm and inviting reception / waiting area, featuring a curved plywood reception desk and custom banquette seating for patients. A relaxed and modern atmosphere was achieved using sustainable finishes and materials. Plywood was feature throughout, a sustainable material that was chosen to create a contemporary look whilst also achieving a 5-star green rating. With 6 generous consulting rooms, 2 massage rooms and rehabilitation gym, all offering a range of services which included Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy & Podiatry, the Barangaroo Physio has now become a go to physiotherapist for workers within the CBD and surrounds.
