CHALLENGE:
After a successful completion of Melbourne’s DXC LTD head office, designed in 2013. Insight Projects appointed by DXC LTD the largest locally owned IT Service Provider in Australia. Moving forward they are now expanding their Sydney business by combining one room. This was created through a second multilevel office precinct with interconnecting stairs.
SOLUTION:
Insight Projects was not only appointed to provide a design project and Construction Management of the new headquarters in Sydney but to also assist in the process of early stages in a site selection. This allowed the best possible fit for the client and each of the individually run business units.
RESULTS:
Fostering the design principles of Melbourne’s office allowed us to create a functional, dynamic and interactive environment for their business. Throughout Sydney and Melbourne’s unique office designs, a framework was introduced to increase a flexible open plan environment. The use of bench styles and hot desks have been used throughout the space for both permanent and non-staff members as it allows the space to be flexible. This is exposed within the space by having 14 – 16 training rooms as well as 13 shared phone rooms. Having these multi-functional rooms has allowed a spacious breakout area for staff to enjoy and relax. The collation involved in the relocation as it allowed 600 DXC LTD staff members to fit into the new facility located in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
