RESULTS:
The design resulted in a warm and inviting reception/waiting area, featuring a curved reception desk and banquette seating for patients. A relaxed and modern atmosphere was achieved through the use sustainable finishes and materials. Plywood has been featured throughout, a sustainable material that was chosen to create a contemporary look and also to achieve the 5 – star green rating. A plywood feature screen creates a sense of openness within the internal waiting area & slatted plywood ceiling above is a key design element that compliments the interior.
Adjacent the reception/waiting area there is 1 consulting room and down the long corridor there are another 5 consulting rooms, all offering a range of services which include Orthopaedics, Sports medicine, Physiotherapy, Podiatry.
At the end of the corridor there is a hand wash basin and an additional room solely dedicated to massage therapy & remedial/sports massage. There is a tea room for staff & patients, along with a start of the art gym devoted to Exercise Physiology with full height windows and views over the Barangaroo precinct. Bold large scale graphics where installed on the front of each consulting room to achieve a level of privacy and create visual interest as you walk down the corridor.
